Arne - Thank you so much for your help! I'd also like to ask if you know of
a Bluetooth wireless trackball for my Mac? I'll subscribe to Macworld
immediately to see what I can learn. Although I've been around PCs for 15
years, I'm a total noob to Macs.
Is the monthly BRMUG meeting worth going to?
Thanks again - Glenn Young

Well as far as anti virus goes I use Virex, since it came with .MAC,
but I've never gotten a virus yet, the OSX firewall works fine.
Most of the software you mention can also be found in a MAC
version, but for office suites, there are the free programs such as Open
Office and Neo. I have used Quicken on both the Mac and Pc, I prefer the Mac
version much more user friendly. As far as web browsers go I use Safari the
OS X browser, but I also highly recommend Opera from opera.com.
As far as magazines go I like Macworld, a little more serious
then Mac Addict, but for a new user try Mac Home.
