[Brmug-l] Mac imaging software

Hi guys!

iPhoto SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!

Is there an equivalent to the PC world's Irfanview or Picasa that  
will do the same stuff in Mac?  I want to convert (and batch-convert)  
multiple image types to .jpg within the image editing program.  So  
far as I can tell, this is impossible in iPhoto.  I've downloaded  
ACDSee for Mac and it wouldn't do conversions either.  I also  
profoundly dislike i-Photo's propensity to show images ONLY within  
the program itself - I want to see my images in Finder view and  
double-click them to open, edit, or view.

The more I use my Mac, the less I like it.  This OS-X was supposed to  
be a better system for images and video - what went wrong?

If I'm missing something, please let me know ASAP - I do a  
presentation on Windows Vista vs. Linux vs. Mac OS-X the first  
Thursday in June.  My impressions of OS-X are steadily declining as I  
use the stuff more.
