Send an email to sc10cc@isaac.lsu.edu answering the following questions:
- Title
- Team Information (team institute, member names, vendor partners)
- Why are you participating?
- Why do you believe you've put together a winning team (diversity of skills, team work, experience of members)?
- How will your team work together to tune and optimize the application set?
- System Configuration: Provide a general overview of your anticipated hardware and software configuration and why you believe that the system described
is appropriate for the challenge.
- What demonstrations your team proposes to show-off your cluster skills during the showcase portion of the competition?
- To be written by team Supervisor: What instruction and/or curricula changes are being made (temporarily or permanent) to facilitate the teaching of
cluster computing at your institution?
I am not sure the answers to most of these. I am negotiating with IBM to suypply Power7 technology. If that works out -- great. If not, we will shoot for any combo of classic x86 hardware.
Kathy and I will take the submitted answers and produce a unified documetn for submission.
